Safety and Insurance
Scooters are practically essential in Jomtien—they offer independence and freedom. You can explore the town and its surroundings with peace of mind, provided you use common sense and follow certain rules. The rider must be at least 18 years old and have prior experience riding two-wheeled vehicles.
Safety
Safety is paramount, especially when riding two-wheelers in a country where driving habits can sometimes be surprising: left-hand drive, priority often given to larger vehicles, occasionally extreme weather conditions, and unpredictable behaviour from other road users.
In Thailand, wearing a helmet and having insurance are both mandatory. Driving under the influence of alcohol is severely punished, particularly if an accident occurs. Local police conduct regular checks for insurance, helmets, and alcohol. If you’ve been drinking, please use a mototaxi instead.
You, the customer, are responsible for any damage to the scooter—no matter how minor—including scratches or scuff marks. Any such damage must be reported immediately to ✅Thaibikesrental✅ upon returning the vehicle.
Vehicle Safety Standards
At ✅Thaibikesrental✅, we place great emphasis on maintaining our scooters. Our team of professionals handles all servicing and upkeep. We strive to provide our customers with scooters in perfect working order and easy to operate.
Each scooter comes with two jet-style helmets that fit neatly under the seat.
First in Thailand
All our scooters are equipped with a GPS tracker—a significant advantage if you misplace your scooter or forget where you parked it. The GPS enables you to locate your scooter, for which you remain fully responsible throughout the rental period.
Insurance
You are fully responsible for the rented scooter. Although rarely enforced by rental companies, please note that in Thailand, rental scooters are generally not insured against theft. Therefore, take good care of your scooter—should it be stolen or damaged in an accident for which you are liable, you will be responsible for the full cost of replacement or repairs.
